Discussion Forum: Medicaid Issues/Questions for VACSB Regulatory Committee
Welcome! This discussion forum is for CSB/BHA staff and is focused on Medicaid issues that
have not yet been clearly addressed through communications from the Department of Medical
Assistance Services (DMAS) and which financially affects multiple CSB/BHAs. It is intended to
address issues not yet clarified through DMAS provider manuals and other DMAS communications
and to allow the responses to be archived for future reference.
Members of the Regulatory Committee meet with DMAS staff regularly to address posted issues
which meet our criteria (above) and to follow-up on any pending issues. The advantage of this
method reduces the number of conflicintg interpretations of complex rules that may occur when DMAS
individually in writing with 40 CSBs.
Your patience is appreciated as some responses require research and could be delayed. If
for some reason, an answer is later retracted after the initial posting of the answer, those with
access to this forum will be notified where the correction is posted.
